Today, "Goblin", the second album by OFWGKTA leader Tyler, The Creator leaked. It was the first release by any of the OF artists that wasn't going to be available for free download on http://www.oddfuture.com.
There was rumors of it leaking about a week ago, but they turned out to be false. Tyler was really trying to prevent a leak, even to the point where he was spreading fake leaks across the internet. The album was set to drop May 10th in the US, but it the release date in Europe was this Friday. In this day and age it's amazing that there was no leak until two days before the release.
Leaks have pros and cons to them obviously. Pros being that you listener doesn't have to pay for the album, but this is also a negative for the artist because now that person won't have to spend the $15 for the album. So my question to you is, do you like leaks? Will you buy an album after hearing the leak? Are leaks bad for the music industry?
